Clips and Mushrooms and Melusine

Actually, this week has been exactly the same as last week: I’ve spent a lot of time in my darkroom, but also on the computer, editing my film! It’s already 12 minutes long … I reckon it’ll end up being 30 minutes in total! I’ll attach a few of my favourite clips for you!

The workshop in the countryside was brilliant: two days, a small group (eight students and a co-tutor), mild autumn weather – we collected lots of plants, mushrooms, berries and flowers and used them to make an effective developer! We developed 16 mm film in buckets!!
This was probably my last workshop of the year.

Lots of Film Snippets!

This week I’ve had all my Super 8 cassettes digitised: two in colour, one in black and white, one Kodachrome (which turned out orange – and when flipped, it’s blue! You have already seen it …) …

And now I’m starting to sort through them and jot down my thoughts to get an overview of this huge pile of footage!
My current film is going to be long – I reckon about 30 minutes. I’ve never made a Super 8 film this long before …

Entwickelt in Caffenol und in einem Gebräu aus Bananen, Mandarinen, Zwiebeln, Spargel, Melone, lila Süßkartoffel, Passionsfrucht, gelbe Paprika, Eierschalen, Erdbeeren, Apfel und Durstlöscher Waldmeister!

Developed in Caffenol and a brew made from bananas, mandarins, onions, asparagus, melon, purple sweet potato, passion fruit, yellow peppers, eggshells, strawberries, apple and Durstlöscher woodruff!

ORWO Worms

I’m browsing through old workshop films … There will be a little exhibition at Dresden Schmalfilmtage / Small Format Days in March and they are celebrating 60 years of super 8 hoorayyy!!! Showing a variety of films including some of my workshop group films (I gave 2-days-workshops at their festival in 5 consecutive years from 2009).
