I like this pinhole photo. It is so … unspectacular. So grey, so foggy, so smooth!
I remember … it was a calm, soft day in early spring last year. A day off.

Yes, I’m really lucky: I have a mother who lives near the Baltic Sea (in north-west Germany) and I have good friends with a house behind the dunes on the Baltic Sea in north-east Germany! One for Christmas, one for New Year’s Eve!
I had the idea of throwing a message in a bottle into the sea at point A and then fishing it out a week later at point B. Unfortunately, I didn’t do it because I was lazy … It would have been a message to myself and maybe a good idea for a film … Damn! More films this year …

I made a very short film recently when I spent a wonderful week at my mother’s at the Baltic Sea in August.
I remember … a timeless feeling lying in the sand in the sun … and the Baltic Sea was for once in my lifetime not too cold to swim!

Ich liebe die Ostsee! I love the Baltic Sea! This time I was so lucky … had a full week of sunshine, low wind, nice heat, no rain! Quite unusual!!
I met with my brother and nephew, we helped Mama with house and garden (it’s a bit like a new beginning for her since my father died earlier this year …).
Some images!

3 days at my friends‘ at the sea, lucky me! Winter says goodbye though the wind is still pretty chilly … but the sun has power! Spring is coming!!

(I can’t get enough of those beach pictures!!)

Paola, Calabria

Alojera … town and beach … and the fantastic Restaurant Prisma!

This weird piece of stone / concrete / wall looks like a fossile bus stop!

Valle Gran Rey

At the end of the season parasols go to sleep.

I put my favourite pinhole camera on the beach and let it take dramatic pictures!! 🙂
In the can: a piece of black & white negative sheet film. Put it on a piece of photo paper – FOMAbrom baryta – so I receive a positive image! Develop it in Caffenol … which seems to give it an extra dramatic tone! Brown-greyish. I love it!

This is how it looks like when I set up a pinhole camera on the rocks at the beach in the wind in the sun 😉

Happy Weekend everybody!!!
